For Attorneys & Advocates

Legal Infrastructure for IBSA Cases

The Digital Identity Foundation supports attorneys, advocates, and legal teams handling image-based sexual abuse cases — with training, case consultation, direct image removal, and the most current public record of how these cases are being charged and won.

What We Offer

How We Support Legal Teams

  • Trauma-Informed Training

CLE-eligible training for legal and support staff — covering survivor communication, the current NCII/deepfake threat landscape, and platform removal pathways. Built from years of DIF's panel and public-education work.

  • Case Consultation & Technical Support

Platform-specific context, takedown-pathway guidance, and survivor communication strategy for attorneys actively litigating IBSA cases. Available for expert declaration or testimony support.

  • Direct Image Removal

DIF's survivor-support team can move directly on content removal for a client — hash-matching, platform reporting, and takedown follow-through — running in parallel with a case rather than waiting on it.

Why DIF

Why Partner With DIF

IBSA cases move fast, and the legal landscape under them is changing just as quickly — the TAKE IT DOWN Act is barely a year old, and courts, platforms, and prosecutors are all still working out how it applies. DIF sits inside that landscape every day: we know the platforms, we know the removal pathways, and we know what survivors need from the legal process, not just from the verdict. Partnering with DIF means your team isn't building that expertise from scratch on your client's timeline.

Case Database

IBSA & Sex Trafficking Case Tracker

A searchable, continually updated record of federal and state cases involving image-based sexual abuse, sextortion, CSAM, and sex trafficking — built and maintained by DIF. Search by the statute charged, jurisdiction, or type of harm to see how these cases are being prosecuted and how courts are ruling.

This database is provided for informational and advocacy purposes only and is not a substitute for independent legal research. Cases marked as charged, indicted, or pending are allegations only — all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until convicted. Verify current docket status and charging documents directly before relying on any entry for litigation. Last comprehensive review: August 19, 2026.

Building Partnerships With Firms on the Front Lines

DIF is building formal partnerships with law firms handling IBSA litigation — combining our survivor-support and technical infrastructure with firms' legal representation. Partner firms will be featured here as those relationships are finalized.
